Beaches

Santorini is a volcanic island so the beaches are predominantly a cool looking black sand with beautiful turquoise blue waters.  Try Monilithos beach which is one of the most family friendly on the island.  The sand can get hot in the sun so our top tip is to take beach shoes if you’re out in the heat of the day.  

Activities

Most resorts have kids clubs and dedicated childrens’ facilities so there will always be plenty to keep the young ones amused while you sit back and enjoy cocktails by the pool.  Outside of the resort you can take boat trips to explore all the volcanic islands, check out the island of Nea Kameni which is famous for its active volcano.    Many boat trips have stops for swimming so don’t forget your snorkelling equipment.  Take the Fira cable car for panoramic views of the old town and for something more active you can try out jet skiing, windsurfing and kiteboarding and many walks take in breathtaking views across the island.
