Explore the island
St Lucia is famous for its volcanic peaks, the Pitons, jutting out over the landscape and slopes carpeted by jungle and rainforest. For families, we recommend La Soufriere Drive-In Volcano where you can walk around craters with bubbling sulphur springs or for the more adventurous get your boots on and following one of the hiking trails on the island. Fancy some shopping? Castries is the island’s capital located close to the cruise port where you can bag duty free bargains from nearby shops or for those authentic local gifts try Castries market.
Adventure time
The kids will love Splash Island water park at Reduit Beach. When you’re done with lazing on the beach, pop on your snorkel equipment and head out to the coral reefs which are dotted along the west side of the island. All our resorts have water activities that families can try, jump on a banana boat or kayaking are just two of many to try out. We recommend a family expedition When on dry land kids clubs are available ta most of our accommodation.
Local cuisine
Fresh food abounds on St Lucia. Freshly picked fruit and vegetables make every meal a delight. St Lucia is most famous for its regional fish dishes direct from boat to plate. If you fancy eating away from the luxurious dining of your hotel why not venture into Castries where there's a good selection of restaurants serving fresh dishes daily.
